Włocławek criminal police searched a 27-year-old resident’s flat on Tuesday 3 November 2026 and found drugs.[1] The man was already wanted under an order to take him to prison to serve a six-month sentence for an earlier drug offence.[1] He was placed in prison, and police said he will soon also be charged with possessing a significant quantity of drugs, an offence carrying up to 10 years.[1]

During the search officers seized more than 405 grams of marijuana.[1] They also seized more than 290 grams of mephedrone, a stimulant that is not cannabis and is left out of the cannabis figure here.[1] The total was almost 700 grams of narcotic and psychotropic substances, and the drugs went to a laboratory for detailed testing.[2]

Włocławek police spokesperson Renata Wróblewska-Czaplicka said mephedrone is commonly called “kryształ”, Polish for crystal, and that laboratory tests were to confirm the composition of the substances.[3] Under Poland’s drug-addiction law, possessing a significant quantity of narcotic or psychotropic substances carries one to 10 years in prison, and a court will decide his case.[3]
