About the tracker
The Cannabis Enforcement Tracker is an open record of what the prohibition of cannabis does in practice: fields destroyed, homes and shops raided, people arrested, tried, jailed and executed. It counts the human, economic and cultural cost that a law's text does not show.
It is a companion to the Cannabis Freedom Index, which scores what each country's laws allow. Country ids are the same, so each report links to the law behind it.
What a report is
One event or one campaign, told plainly: what happened, to whom, and what it cost. Every sentence rests on a source that was opened and read, cited in the text. A report without a source is refused by the build.

Figures
Numbers are what the sources state, often the authorities' own. Values of seized cannabis are official estimates and usually high. Totals on this site add up only the reports in it.
Data
All reports as JSON: /api/reports.json; one country:/api/country/<id>.json. The source files are YAML front matter and Markdown, one per report.
