Officers of the Criminal Department of the Mokotów police station detained a 45-year-old man as he left an observed summer house on allotment gardens in Warsaw.[1] Detectives had identified the allotments as his possible whereabouts after operational findings that he might store significant quantities of narcotics and psychotropic substances there.[1] In the house officers found mephedrone and, in a ground-floor room, further substances, seizing a bag of herbal material, an electronic scale, a heat sealer and empty plastic bags.[1]

A presumptive tester test indicated that the herb was marijuana and the light-coloured substance was mephedrone.[1] After weighing, police reported nearly 100 grams of marijuana and over 3 grams of mephedrone, valuing the drugs together at about PLN 5,000 on the black market.[1]

After procedural steps the man was charged with possession of narcotics and a psychotropic substance.[1] A check showed he was wanted by a court to serve 150 days of imprisonment, and he was taken to the Warszawa-Białołęka remand centre.[1] The proceedings in the drug case are supervised by the Warszawa-Mokotów District Prosecutor’s Office.[2]
