Officers from the criminal division of the Ryki county police, acting on information about a 43-year-old resident of Pulawy county, searched his home on the morning of Wednesday, 28 October 2026 with support from Lublin city police officers.[1] The Pulawy-county resident was detained and taken to police custody, with the case placed under prosecutorial supervision.[1] He was then charged on suspicion of preparing to take part in trafficking a significant quantity of intoxicating substances for financial gain.[1] At the prosecutor’s request, the District Court in Ryki ordered three months of pretrial detention, a preventive measure that does not amount to a finding of guilt.[1]

During the search, officers secured significant quantities of intoxicating and psychotropic substances, identified as marijuana, amphetamine and 4-CMC (klefedron, a synthetic cathinone).[1] Police said about 200 dealer portions could have been prepared from the seized substances taken together, a combined figure not broken down by drug.[1] Officers also secured equipment and products that could have been used to prepare the drugs for sale.[1]

The operation followed earlier findings that the man might be holding illegal substances.[1] The account of the search, seizure and court decision was attributed to Staff Sergeant Piotr Szyszka of the Ryki county police.[1]
