Polkowice police traced a cannabis grow on a property in a village near Głogów and detained its 44-year-old keeper, a resident of Gmina Gaworzyce.[1] The investigation in the case was run by police from Polkowice.[1] Głogów district prosecutor Marek Wójcik charged him with manufacturing and processing significant quantities of intoxicants from March to October 2026.[1] After the charges were presented, the prosecutor asked the court to detain the man pending trial.[1] On 31 October the Głogów District Court placed him in pre-trial detention for three months.[1] The detainee confessed to the charges.[1]

At the property officers found what they described as cannabis other than fibrous hemp, securing at least 10 cultivated plants.[1] Officers described the plants as significant quantities of cannabis other than fibrous hemp, meaning marijuana.[1] They also seized large quantities of herbal material processed most likely on site, which police put at at least 5 kilograms of dried cannabis.[1] The offence as charged is punishable by 3 to 20 years’ imprisonment.[1]

Police say they are still establishing what the man intended to do with the dried cannabis he produced.[1] Officers found the grow and at least 5 kg of ready dried material on a property in a village near Głogów.[1]
