Patrol officers from the Szczecin Pogodno station tried to stop a passenger car for a road check, but the driver ignored their signals and kept driving, so officers began a pursuit through Szczecin.[1] Officers from the Pogodno station together with the Prevention and Intelligence units of Szczecin’s city police command stopped the car, which contained the driver and a passenger.[2] A check found that the car was not cleared for road use and that the driver had no driving licence and was driving under the influence of an intoxicant.[1] Evidence gathered allowed officers to charge the driver with offences including failing to stop for a road check while driving under the influence and illegally possessing intoxicants, and he was placed under police supervision.[2]

During further steps in the vehicle, officers found plant material that testing confirmed was marijuana, with no weight published.[1] Police said the driver will answer for all the acts he committed and reminded drivers to obey orders given during road checks.[1]
