The San Luis Potosí prosecution office, the FGESLP, served two in-prison arrest warrants on Joel “N” and Henry “N”.[1] Both men were already held in the Centro Estatal de Reinserción Social La Pila on a different criminal case.[1] Investigation police officers notified them of the warrants in the prison visiting area, told them their rights and placed them at the disposal of the judicial authority that will decide their legal situation.[1]

The warrants trace to 2025 detentions by Soledad de Graciano Sánchez municipal police.[2] During those stops Joel allegedly held dried herb with marijuana characteristics, while Henry allegedly held a substance with methamphetamine characteristics.[1] Both men first obtained bail but allegedly breached the precautionary measures imposed on them, so prosecutors asked a control judge for the new arrest warrants.[1]

Both now face investigation for alleged health offences in the form of narcomenudeo, Mexico’s small-scale dealing offence, in its simple-possession variant.[1] No weight, packet count or estimated value was published for the alleged marijuana, and no court decision beyond their referral to the judicial authority was reported.[1]
