Guardia Civil Estatal officers detained Marco “N”, 25, and Ramón “N”, 20, in
Ciudad Valles during security and surveillance patrols under the Huasteca Segura
operation.[1]The detentions resulted from security devices and operational
actions deployed to strengthen security in the state.[2]Those detained and
the seized substances were placed at the disposal of the competent authorities
to investigate and determine possible responsibility.[1]Authorities are
examining whether the men belong to a criminal group operating in the area.[1]
Officers seized about twenty doses of “cristal” and about seven doses of
marijuana from the two men, allegedly held for sale.[1]El Exprés described
the marijuana as bags of green, dry herb with the characteristics of marijuana
and the other substance as similar to “cristal”.[2]
The state Secretariat of Security and Citizen Protection, through the Guardia
Civil Estatal, maintains surveillance devices and operational actions across the
four regions to strengthen public safety.[1]The competent authorities will
continue the investigations to determine possible responsibility.[2]
No weight was published for the marijuana, only about seven doses, so no kilograms can be recorded.
No charges, custody ruling or court outcome were reported; the detainees were placed at the disposal of the competent authorities and the investigation was still under way.
Cristal quantities and the 10.6 grams of crystal-like substance are excluded from cannabis figures; the Matehuala-Buenavista detention of José Ildefonso “N”, involving only a crystal-like substance, is left out as a separate non-cannabis incident published in the same roundup.
The reports give no separate date for the patrols; 3 November 2026 is the El Exprés publication date used as the incident date, while Pulso published the same roundup on 4 November 2026.
El Exprés confirms bags of herb with marijuana characteristics without giving a dose count, so the report uses Pulso’s figure of about seven marijuana doses.
Pulso’s lead image is captioned only with the headline and El Exprés/Frontal images carry no caption tying them to this seizure, so no media entry is included.
Municipal police detained two 26-year-olds in San Luis Potosí city, including Fernando “N” in Colonia El Oasis with 180 grams of marijuana. Both men were sent for medical certification and then to the State Attorney General's Office, in an operation with the Army and National Guard.
Municipal police in Soledad de Graciano Sanchez detained seven men and a 17-year-old during preventive patrols, including four men allegedly held with marijuana doses in four colonias. All eight were placed at the disposal of the state prosecutor with the seized substances, and police said one marijuana detainee had prior robbery, weapons and prison records.

Guanajuato state police detained 22-year-old Juan Roberto “N” in Cerano, Yuriria, seizing more than 1,400 doses of suspected marijuana, two firearms and other items. He and the seized items were handed to the Ministerio Público, which will decide his legal situation.
