Minas Gerais military police arrested a 43-year-old man in the Santa Tereza neighbourhood late on Tuesday 3 November 2026.[1] The operation took place at about 6 p.m. on Rua dos Professores and was carried out by teams of the 63rd Military Police Battalion (63º BPM), a regional unit of the state military police.[1] The patrols said they acted after receiving information and carrying out inquiries in the area before approaching one suspect.[1] Officers also identified a second man, aged 35, who initially managed to flee.[1]

During the search of the 43-year-old, officers found one bucha of maconha, a small retail pack of cannabis, and R$ 207 in cash.[1] The 35-year-old fled through scrubland when he saw the police teams, but officers searched the area, tracked him down and identified him.[1] Police then searched the residences of both men involved.[1] At the 43-year-old’s house they found two more buchas of maconha and three crack stones.[1] At the second suspect’s residence they found three more buchas of maconha.[1] In total, officers reported six buchas of maconha and three crack stones, plus the R$ 207 in cash.[1]

The 43-year-old was arrested and taken to the Delegacia de Polícia, the civil police station, with all the seized material for further legal steps.[1] The account attributes its information to the Minas Gerais military police.[1]
