Padangsidimpuan police brought eight suspects to a reconstruction at the district police headquarters on 3 November 2026 over ganja found inside the prison.[1] The reconstruction took place at Mapolres Padangsidimpuan under police chief AKBP Noval N.G. Desky with the narcotics chief and public prosecutors present.[1] Officers acted out 46 scenes to fix the sequence of events and each suspect’s role.[1] The suspect total grew from four to eight after further examination by investigators.[1] Police said roles differed, including carrying ganja from a room to the rear of the prison and storing it under a chicken coop.[1] Police identified the eight suspects only by the initials Z, A, A, M, A, M, M and H, and named another examined suspect initial U as the alleged owner whose role still needed clarification.[1]
Officers first checked Blocks E and F, covering about 20 residential rooms, and found items suspected of drug abuse before moving to the maximum-security block.[1] In the electrical installation room they found one white sack holding two bales of ganja and one red plastic bag holding four bales.[1] Police seized six bales weighing about 6,800 grams, or 6.8 kilograms.[1] Officers also collected meth-smoking tools and other items including two bongs, five small glass pipes, empty transparent clips, pipettes, cables, charger heads and powerbanks.[1] At the first disclosure police detained four suspects aged 32 to 46 from Padang Lawas and Padangsidimpuan, then took all suspects and evidence to Mapolres Padangsidimpuan for further investigation.[1]
The police chief said the reconstruction should give a clear factual and legal picture, especially for prosecutors.[1] Police said they hoped the reconstruction would let the prosecutor’s office declare the dossier complete at the P21 stage and described the work as part of combating narcotics in Padangsidimpuan.[1]
