Mandau police in Bengkalis detained three men with the initials YS aged 25, BKA aged 34 and AP aged 31 in a suspected cannabis case in Pematang Pudu, Mandau, on the night of Monday 2 November 2026.[1] The three suspects and all of the seized evidence were taken to the Mandau police station for further investigation.[1]

Police said they seized 27 packets of cannabis from the three men, plus three mobile phones and three motorcycles.[1] The case began with public information about suspected cannabis misuse on Jalan Asrama Tribrata, Gang Giam, in Pematang Pudu.[1] At about 8:10 p.m. on 2 November 2026, the operational team went to that location and detained YS.[1] A search found six packets of cannabis stored in the right dashboard of a white Honda Vario motorcycle.[1] YS initially said the cannabis came from BKA, prompting officers to follow up on BKA’s whereabouts.[1] At about 8:30 p.m., officers went to a house on Jalan Asrama Tribrata, Gang Abdul Rahman, where they detained BKA together with AP.[1] Officers found 19 packets attributed to BKA in a cupboard, comprising one large packet, one medium packet and 17 small packets.[1] Officers found two packets of cannabis on AP stored in a Torch sling bag.[1]

Police said the suspects allegedly violated Article 111 of Indonesia’s Narcotics Law No. 35 of 2009 in conjunction with Article 609 on adjusted penalties.[1]
