Oran’s wilaya security services arrested 10 people in several distinct operations and seized hard drugs and psychotropic substances.[1] The operations followed information received by the research and intervention brigades (BRI), anti-trafficking services for drugs and psychotropic substances, the Aïn El Beïda (Es-Sénia) external urban security unit and the third urban security service.[1] The information concerned individuals suspected of dealing hard drugs and psychotropic substances.[1]

Investigations led to the seizure of more than 10,000 psychotropic tablets of different types, 105 grams of cocaine and more than 9.2 kilograms of processed kif (cannabis resin).[1] Authorities also seized cash of 630,000 Algerian dinars, which police said came from criminal activity, plus a further 175 euros.[1] The seized property also included a passenger car, large knives and an electronic scale.[1]

The ten people implicated in the Oran cases were presented before competent judicial authorities for alleged trafficking and marketing of hard drugs and psychotropic substances.[1]
