The stop was in the early hours of Friday 30 October 2026.[1] Quadratín Nuevo
León, citing the police account, described the crystal as a solid substance
similar to crystal and the bags as herb with the characteristics of marijuana.[1]
MVS Noticias, citing the police report, put the stop at 03:20 on Reforma between
Villagómez and Villagrán.[2] Officers on a prevention patrol saw a maroon Ford
Explorer with Coahuila plates and tinted windows.[2] The driver did not stop
when signalled, and a short chase ended with the van intercepted a few metres
further on.[2] MVS said the seven men inside were evasive.[2] The van was
seized and taken to the official vehicle pound, and the seven were left with the
Ministerio Público, the public prosecutor’s office, to decide their legal
position.[2] MVS also said the authorities seized 40 doses of crystal and two
bags of marijuana inside the van.[2][3]
Quadratín named the minors as Cristofer and Byron, both 16, and Osiel and José,
