Municipal police arrested a man and a woman in the colonia Centro after finding two bags of marijuana, the DSPM said.[1] The people detained were identified as Francisco P. Q., aged 43, and Karina Paola C. E., aged 25.[1] They were travelling on a motorcycle when the officers intercepted them.[1]
The official report said the intervention happened while police from Distrito Ángel were making prevention and surveillance rounds at the crossing of calles 21a and Pedro Moreno.[1] There the officers saw a motorcycle circulating without lights and carrying two people, and they signalled it to stop for a preventive check.[1] During the inspection the agents found a bag of the suspected drug among the belongings of Francisco P. Q. and another in the possession of Karina Paola C. E.[1]
After the find, both were taken to the Comandancia Sur for registration and then placed at the disposal of the Fiscalía de Distrito Zona Centro, the central-zone district prosecutor’s office, together with the seized substance.[1] The ministerial authority is to carry out the corresponding investigations and determine the legal situation of the people detained.[1]
