Carabinieri of the Riccione NOR section arrested a 46-year-old man during a road check in Misano Adriatico after he assaulted officers.[1][2] The man lives in Forlì-Cesena province and was already known to law enforcement.[3][2] When officers tried to continue their checks, he suddenly reacted violently to avoid further examination, striking patrol members with kicks and punches.[1][2] Officers managed to restrain and secure him before conducting a personal search.[1] He was arrested on suspected resistance to a public official, aggravated intentional injury, unlawful carrying of an offensive weapon and possession of drugs for dealing.[1] The next morning he appeared before the judicial authority for an immediate trial.[1] The judge validated the arrest and imposed mandatory reporting to judicial police.[3][2]

The personal search found 20 grams of cocaine and 25 grams of hashish hidden in his intimate parts.[1][2] He had initially handed over a calibre-22 blank scacciacani-type pistol with a box of ammunition.[1] A later search of his car found a precision scale that investigators considered consistent with dealing activity.[1][2] The blank pistol and the drugs were seized.[1] Officers involved in the struggle sustained minor injuries that were later treated at the emergency department.[1]

The episode occurred during daily territorial control duties aimed at combating drug dealing.[1] Officers had stopped the man while he was in his car and begun routine checks.[1]
