Caltagirone State Police officers arrested a previously convicted man and reported a second person on suspicion of possessing large quantities of drugs for dealing.[1][2][3] The arrested man was already subject to a residence obligation and a requirement to report to the judicial police when officers watching the street noticed him showing signs of intolerance toward the check.[1][2] After validation, the preliminary investigations judge at the Caltagirone court confirmed the arrest and ordered pretrial custody in prison.[1][2][3] In the same operation officers reported a second person found holding about 134 grams of marijuana.[1][2][3]

With the support of the drug-dog unit, officers searched the home and garages available to the arrested man.[1][2][3] In his garage they found two blocks of hashish weighing about 200 grams, six transparent bags holding more than 4.6 kilograms of marijuana, and several precision scales.[1][2][3] Officers also seized about 50 grams of cocaine alongside the cannabis in the same garage.[4][2][3]

The arrest was made as directed by the Caltagirone Public Prosecutor’s Office, which coordinated the investigation.[1][2] Police said the result reflects continued anti-dealing work in the Calatino area, with the presumption of innocence applying until a final conviction.[4]
