Drug-control officers of the Kaliningrad region Interior Ministry, working with
the regional canine centre, customs and Rosgvardiya during operation Mak-2025,
stopped a 44-year-old Kaliningrad man suspected of illegal cultivation and
possession of banned plants.[1] They detained him on Karl Marx Street while he
was walking with his wife and two-week-old twin sons.[1] A search of the couple’s
home recovered almost 80 grams of marijuana and about 33.5 grams of hash oil.[1]
Investigators learned he had rented a basement room in a non-residential building
on Kutuzov Street.[1] There officers found 57 cannabis plants growing in soil
containers, cultivation equipment, 206 grams of cannabis, syringes and packaging
material.[1] The Central district police investigative unit opened criminal cases
under articles 228 and 231 of the Criminal Code, and a judge ordered the man not
to leave his place of residence.[2]
