Kafr El Sheikh centre detectives arrested three unemployed men accused of trafficking various drugs and possessing unlicensed firearms and ammunition.[1] The suspects were aged 40, 28 and 30 and were identified only by their initials.[1] The 40-year-old had previously been accused in four theft cases.[1] The 28-year-old had previously been accused in five cases involving drugs and show of force.[1] Officers detained the men at their residences after completing legal procedures and obtaining Public Prosecution permission.[1]

Police said they seized one shotgun, two individual shotguns and five shotgun cartridges from the men.[1] The cannabis component recorded here was 25 slabs, called torba, and 32 pieces of hashish.[1] The same search also found 500 grams of shabu and 250 grams of heroin, plus a motorcycle without number plates, which are mentioned only to explain the mixed seizure.[1]

Detectives had received detailed information that the men were trading drugs wholesale and retail and holding firearms and live ammunition.[1] The operation was carried out under senior Kafr El Sheikh security supervision.[1] Police completed the legal procedures and notified the Public Prosecution, which took over the investigation.[1]
