Egypt’s Interior Ministry security forces arrested an unemployed man in Awsim on suspicion of trafficking narcotic drugs.[1][2][3][4] The operation took place within the jurisdiction of the Awsim police station in Giza Governorate.[1][2][3][4] At the time of the arrest, officers found 50 slabs of hashish, called “farsh” in the report, in his possession.[1][2][3][4] Police said the 50 slabs had not yet been sold and were intended for distribution to his customers.[1][4]

According to the account, prior information and investigations had indicated that the suspect was practising criminal activity in narcotics trafficking.[1] The same account said he had made the Awsim district the theatre for carrying out that criminal activity.[1] After legal procedures were completed and information was gathered, a security force detained the suspect together with the 50 slabs of hashish.[1] The seized slabs were then held in custody as seized material.[1]

When confronted with the seizure, the man admitted that he was carrying out the criminal activity.[1][2][3][4] The authorities said the required legal measures were taken against him.[1] The competent investigative authorities then took over the case for further investigation.[1][4]
