Detectives of the Zefta police station in Gharbia Governorate arrested a 38-year-old woman suspected of trading drugs and selling them to clients in Nahtay village and neighbouring villages after security investigations pointed to her activity.[1] The suspect, identified only as E.H., is 38 years old and lives in Nahtay village in Zefta district.[1] Police said secret investigations indicated she used Nahtay and the surrounding area to promote drugs to people dealing with her.[1]

Gharbia criminal-investigation chief Mohamed Assem ordered a team to examine and verify the information and take the necessary legal measures, under the supervision of Zefta–Santa investigation head Mohamed Saqr and with Zefta detectives and their force.[1] After legal procedures were completed, officers set a tight security ambush that caught her.[1] A search found a large quantity of hashish in her possession, along with money suspected to be proceeds of her trafficking and a mobile phone suspected of being used to contact clients and facilitate her activity.[1]

Officers took her to Zefta police station, where she admitted possessing the drugs for the purpose of trafficking, as recorded in the incident report.[1] Police held the seized items, filed the necessary report and notified the Public Prosecution, which took over the investigation to establish the circumstances and complete the legal procedures.[1]
