Officers from the property-crime department of the Legnica municipal police detained a 35-year-old Legnica man whose flat was suspected of holding significant quantities of drugs.[1][2] Officers went to the identified address and searched the 35-year-old’s flat, checking every room and hiding place for hidden drugs.[1][2][3] They checked every room and nook without skipping any place where illegal substances could have been hidden.[1] The 35-year-old was charged with possessing a significant quantity of narcotics and putting them into circulation.[1][2] As a preventive measure, he was placed under dozór Policji, a Polish police-supervision measure under which he reports to the police rather than remaining in custody.[1]

Officers seized almost 800 dealer portions of intoxicants and psychotropic substances in total, according to the police count.[1][2][3] That total comprised nearly 650 portions of marijuana, more than 100 portions of methamphetamine and over a dozen portions of cocaine.[1][2][3] The marijuana is the separately stated cannabis component of this mixed seizure, and the methamphetamine and cocaine are not counted as cannabis.[1]

Police said each seized batch of drugs limits their availability and described the operation as part of continuing action against the local drug trade.[1] The charged offences carry up to 12 years’ imprisonment.[1][2][3]
