Otwock traffic police stopped a 42-year-old Skoda driver in Pogorzel after suspecting he could be under the influence of alcohol or drugs.[1][2] A preliminary test found marijuana in the 42-year-old’s body.[3][2] Officers immediately detained the man and electronically retained his driving licence.[1] The man was detained and placed in a police cell.[3]

Officers found a small amount of marijuana on the driver during the roadside check.[1][2] Officers then searched his residence and found more than 20 grams of marijuana there.[3][2] Detectives searching his flat found further drugs beyond what he carried in the car.[1]

The 42-year-old was charged with driving a motor vehicle under the influence of an intoxicant and with possessing intoxicating substances.[1][2] Police say these offences carry up to three years of imprisonment.[1] Police described him as another driver removed from the roads of Otwock county and warned that driving after alcohol or drugs endangers other people’s lives and health.[1]
