Police and gendarmerie teams in Eskişehir handled 241 suspects in 183 drug incidents between 1 and 31 October 2026, the provincial governorate said.[1] Judicial authorities remanded 36 of the suspects in pre-trial detention, and 205 were released, according to the governorate’s monthly figures.[2]

Officers seized 1,709.16 grams of esrar, the cannabis preparation known in Turkey.[1] They also found 24 cannabis roots.[1] The same operations yielded 39,636 synthetic pharmaceutical pills, 9,056 grams of methamphetamine and 2,055 grams of cocaine.[1] Officers further seized 728.81 grams of bonsai, a synthetic cannabinoid, 74 grams of bonsai raw material, 22 ecstasy pills and 5.31 grams of opium gum.[1] Nine precision scales, three drug-use implements, a handgun, a blank-firing pistol and 64 cartridges were also confiscated.[1]

The provincial police directorate and the provincial gendarmerie command carried out the operations, the governorate said.[2] The figures are for the whole city, not a single operation.[1] The governorate said the anti-drug work was continuing across the city without interruption.[1]
