Police in Antalya detained two men in an operation against drug trafficking
after information that they were selling and distributing drugs brought into the
city.[1][2][3] Officers caught the suspects, identified only as M.S.K. and O.Ü., in
Kepez district.[1][4][2][5][6][3] A search of their homes found 7 kg 500 g of cannabis, known
in Turkey as esrar, divided into 15 packets.[1][4][2][5][6][3] The pair were referred to the
judicial authorities over trading and supplying narcotic or psychotropic
substances.[1][5][6][3]
The operation was run by the narcotics crimes branch of the Antalya provincial
police directorate.[1][2][6][3] Sabah reported that it followed intelligence that the
two men were bringing drugs obtained outside the province into the city for sale
and distribution.[7] Officers identified the suspects and their addresses
before launching the raid, the paper said.[7] Police camera footage recorded
the operation and the material seized in the searches.[1][6][3]
M.S.K. was remanded in pre-trial detention, known in Turkey as tutuklama, while O.Ü. was released under judicial control, a supervision order that falls short of custody.[4][2][8][6][3]

Open questions the AI reported
- The reports give no separate date or time for the operation; 31 October 2026 is the publication date of both accounts.
- No full names, estimated value for the 7.5 kg of cannabis, court date or trial outcome were published.
- İHA does not say where the drugs came from, while Sabah says they were obtained outside the province; the report follows Sabah on that point.
- Only Turkish-language news reports were found; no police statement or court record was opened.
- Left out, as its quotation was not found in Sabah: A court ordered M.S.K. held in pre-trial detention — tutuklama, custody pending trial — while O.Ü. was released under judicial control, a supervision order that falls short of custody.
- The article names the trafficking charge only against O.Ü. and does not say on what charge M.S.K. was held.
- The gallery republishes İHA's police-camera stills, which appear to be the same handout frames already linked from the agency's page in this report, so its copies were not listed as separate pictures.
- The Habertürk page is an unedited Anadolu Agency wire copy, so it corroborates the account already in the report rather than adding independent reporting.
- The only image on the submitted page is a generic Antalya local-news graphic, not a photograph of the operation, so no media entry was added.
- The Aksiyon page carries a headline still and an inline 'Şüpheli Araç' image that appear to be the same police-camera handout already linked from İHA, so they were not added as separate media entries.
- Ensonhaber credits İhlas Haber Ajansı (İHA) for the report, so the page repeats the agency account already cited in the report rather than adding independent reporting.
- The page carries three uncaptioned stills of the operation; without captions or credits they could not be confirmed as distinct from the police handout frames already linked from İHA, so they were not listed as separate media.
