State police detained 22-year-old Juan Roberto “N” during preventive patrols in Cerano, Yuriria, on 3 November 2026.[1][2] Officers of Guanajuato’s Fuerzas de Seguridad Pública del Estado (FSPE), the state public-security force, handed the detainee and all the seized items to the Ministerio Público.[1][2]

Officers seized more than 1,400 doses of suspected marijuana and two firearms in the operation.[1][2] They also seized two magazines, eight usable cartridges and a mobile phone.[1][2] Officers also found a motorcycle whose identification marks had been altered and added it to the case evidence.[1][2]

State authorities said these actions form part of the surveillance and crime-prevention operations they maintain in municipalities across Guanajuato.[1]
