State Police arrested a 16-year-old boy found with marijuana in Via Passo Gravina in Catania.[1] An off-duty officer from the Librino commissariat noticed the boy in the evening while passing through the area.[1] The boy, dressed in black, was standing beside a small car with its engine running and driven by a woman, which made the officer suspicious.[1] The boy then climbed over the gate of a house while the car drove away.[1]

The officer identified himself and called for help from a Flying Squad patrol.[1] Despite a brief attempt to evade the check, the boy was stopped and found with five small bags of marijuana weighing 40 grams in total.[1] He was arrested for possession of narcotics for the purpose of dealing.[1]

On the order of the public prosecutor at the Catania Juvenile Court, he was taken to the First Reception Centre.[2] The second account states that the presumption of innocence applies until a final conviction.[2]
