State Police intervened in Turin’s Cenisia quarter, arresting a 31-year-old Moroccan citizen and reporting a 46-year-old man for possession of drugs for dealing.[1] The operation was part of an investigation by officers of the Dora Vanchiglia police station into suspected dealing linked to the 31-year-old.[1] The 31-year-old was arrested and taken to the Lorusso e Cutugno prison, while the 46-year-old with him was reported for the same offence.[1][2] The criminal case was in the preliminary-investigation phase, with the presumption of innocence applying to the suspects until a final judgment.[1]

A personal search found and led to the seizure of a hashish block weighing about 100 grams, 225 euros in cash and keys to several cars, homes and garages.[1] A search of the parked car found more drugs hidden in the boot and partly under the rear seats, for a total of more than 67 kilograms of hashish.[1][2] In the car used for travel, officers found many stickers of the same type as those used to mark the drug blocks.[1] Both cars used in the alleged unlawful activity were seized.[1]

Investigators had monitored the 31-year-old’s movements and identified a possible drug store inside an underground car park in Via Nino Bixio.[1][2] Officers had repeatedly seen the 31-year-old linger only briefly by a car parked inside that structure, leading them to suspect the vehicle was being used to hide drugs.[1] TorinoToday independently reports the same Dora Vanchiglia operation as leading to the arrest of the 31-year-old Moroccan and the reporting of the 46-year-old for possession for dealing.[3]
