Sidoarjo district police said they uncovered 147 drug cases between August and October 2026 and detained 180 suspects, comprising 174 men and 6 women.[1] Antara reported the same August-to-October operation in Sidoarjo, East Java, with the same total of 180 suspects.[2] Police said five prominent cases involved sabu in large amounts.[1]

The seizures listed for the operation were 1,765.13 grams of sabu, 4.41 grams of ganja, 2,089 ecstasy pills and 30,486 LL pills.[1] Police estimated the combined haul’s economic value at about Rp35 billion and said the seizures had saved about 20,000 people from drug danger.[1]

Police said the suspects mainly used dead-drop stashing called sistem ranjau, cash on delivery and other people as couriers.[1] Police identified Taman, Gedangan, Krian, Tulangan and Waru as the five subdistricts most vulnerable to drug circulation.[1] The suspects were charged under articles 114, 111 and/or 127 of the 2009 Narcotics Law and provisions of the 2023 Health Law.[1] The police chief said enforcement would not stop with the couriers and that investigators would pursue higher networks including fugitive dealers.[1]
