Lampung police broke up five highlighted narcotics cases during October 2026.[1] Officers detained 10 suspects in those cases.[1] A second outlet confirms the same October operation involved 10 suspects and the same drug totals.[2] Provincial police chief Brig. Gen. Yustan Alpiani announced the results at a press conference at Lampung police headquarters on 4 November 2026.[1] The suspects were charged under heavy narcotics provisions, including Article 114 paragraph (2) of Law No. 35 of 2009 on Narcotics in conjunction with the new Criminal Code and penalty-adjustment laws.[1]

The cannabis component of the seizure was 33.1 kilograms of ganja, reported alongside 61.9 kilograms of methamphetamine, 19,696 ecstasy pills and 2,143 etomidate pills.[1] Police put the total economic value of all seized evidence at Rp125,123,200,000, or more than Rp125 billion.[1] Yustan claimed the seized narcotics could save about 429,683 people from potential drug abuse.[1]

Investigators said the network moved narcotics from Medan, North Sumatra, to Bandung, West Java, through Bakauheni Port in South Lampung.[1] Police described Bakauheni as the main transport gateway between Sumatra and Java, making surveillance of the crossing crucial to narrowing the inter-island syndicate’s room to move.[1] Yustan said police would act firmly without discrimination against perpetrators from local or international networks and would give no space for Lampung to be used as a distribution route.[1]
