The Bireuen District Attorney’s Office destroyed evidence from general criminal cases with final and binding court judgments on Wednesday, 4 November 2026.[1] The destruction took place in the central courtyard of the Kejari Bireuen Adhyaksa building and covered cases handled from August to October 2026.[1] Evidence chief Cut Mailina Ariani said the exercise implemented court decisions on evidence that had obtained final legal force.[1]
From narcotics cases, the office destroyed 4,450 grams or 4.45 kilograms of ganja, the Indonesian term for cannabis, from seven cases.[1] A second account confirms prosecutors destroyed 4.45 kilograms of ganja and 280 grams of sabu in the same exercise.[2] The same narcotics batch also included 280 grams of sabu, crystal methamphetamine, from 14 cases, which is not counted in the cannabis total.[1] Officers crushed the sabu and ganja with a blender, while other burnable evidence was destroyed by burning.[1]
Officers also destroyed supporting paraphernalia including plastic bags, bongs, pyrex glass, digital scales, lighters and packaging.[1] Police narcotics, Sharia court, district court, national narcotics agency and other officials attended the destruction.[1] Kejari Bireuen said the exercise enforced final judgments and ensured criminal proceeds would not be misused again.[1]
