Seferihisar District Police officers searched an address in Ulamış Mahallesi in Seferihisar, İzmir, belonging to a suspect identified only as F.Z.E.[1] Crime Prevention and Investigation Bureau officers raided the residence after detecting suspicious activity there.[2] Police said the search was part of efforts against drug use and trafficking and the possession of unlicensed weapons.[2] After the search, judicial proceedings were initiated against the suspect and the investigation continued.[2]

Officers seized one Hint keneviri plant, the Turkish term for cannabis, from the address.[1] According to the police account, officers also seized one unlicensed pistol and two unlicensed hunting rifles from the same residence.[1] Police said they also seized 147 rounds of 9x19 mm pistol ammunition and 23 shotgun cartridges.[2]

Police confiscated the ammunition along with the weapons and the plant.[2] The district police described the wider activity as public-order work to ensure peace and security across Seferihisar.[2]
