Acting on the determination that two suspects were manufacturing and trading drugs, provincial gendarmerie teams raided the Mordoğan Mahallesi home of A.Ö. and N.Ö. in Karaburun district, İzmir.[1] Both suspects, identified only by their initials, were taken into custody, and their procedures at the gendarmerie were continuing at the time of reporting.[1]

The house search seized 280 grams of kubar esrar, the Turkish term for herbal cannabis, along with 150 grams of cannabis seeds and 18 cannabis plants.[1] Officers also seized three unlicensed pistols, three magazines, 47 cartridges and one unlicensed semi-automatic hunting rifle from the same address.[2]

The most precise location named for the raid is Mordoğan Mahallesi, a neighbourhood of Karaburun district in İzmir province.[2] The operation was attributed to a statement by the İzmir governorate, which said gendarmerie teams acted after receiving information about drug manufacturing and trade in Mordoğan.[2]
