Officers of the Frattamaggiore commissariat stopped a car with a young man aboard on Via Svizzera in Sant’Antimo during a night territorial-control patrol after his manner drew their attention.[1] The young man, described as 21 years old, was arrested on suspicion of unlawful possession of narcotics for the purpose of dealing.[1] He was also reported for unlawful carrying of weapons or objects capable of offending in connection with the knife and the telescopic wrench found in his possession.[1]

The search recovered 18 packets of marijuana weighing 41 grams in total.[1] Officers also recovered six packets containing 30 grams of hashish.[1] The young man was found with 2,000 euros in cash in mixed-denomination banknotes.[1] Officers also found a knife measuring 12 centimetres overall and a telescopic lug wrench, a long tyre iron.[1] A second local account confirms the seizure of 18 marijuana packets totalling 41 grams and six hashish packets totalling 30 grams.[2]

Police described the stop as part of anti-drug-dealing activity in the area north of Naples.[1]
