Officers of the Gier district proximity-security group arrested a 28-year-old
motorist at Saint-Chamond.[1] The patrol spotted her on Sunday 1 November at
about 15:00 as she committed repeated driving offences.[1] Loire
national-police officers stopped her Volkswagen Polo after she failed to signal
on rue du Crêt de l’œillet between Saint-Chamond and L’Horme.[1] The driver,
who lives in Saint-Etienne, admitted in custody that she delivered narcotics.[1]
Officers found on her 19 cocaine wraps totalling about 20 grams, one 8-gram
capsule of cannabis resin and 1,550 euros in cash.[1] A search of her home
then yielded another 1,500 euros in cash and 24 more cocaine wraps.[1] After
custody she was presented to a Saint-Etienne prosecutor, who sent her for
immediate trial before the Saint-Etienne judicial court.[1]
On 2 November she was sentenced to six months’ imprisonment with full
suspension.[1] The cannabis component recorded here is the single 8-gram resin
capsule, while cocaine weights and cash are noted only to explain the mixed
seizure.[1]
