Dehat Biaora police in Madhya Pradesh’s Rajgarh district arrested a woman on Tuesday, 3 November 2026, as part of Operation Shuddhi against drug trafficking.[1] The accused was identified as 45-year-old Mamta, wife of Mohan Kushwah and a resident of Indiranagar Colony.[1] Police said an informer had tipped them that a woman in Indiranagar Colony was holding ganja.[1] Officers went to the spot and caught her outside her house.[1]

A search recovered 10 kg of ganja, cannabis, from her possession.[1] Police put the estimated value of the seized ganja at 150,000 rupees.[1] Police registered a case against her under Section 8/20 of the NDPS Act.[1]

She is being questioned about where she brought the ganja from and to whom it was to be supplied, while police are also examining the involvement of others.[1] Rajgarh Superintendent of Police Amit Tolani had ordered Operation Shuddhi to curb the trade in smack, ganja and illicit liquor in the district.[1] The Biaora action was guided by the additional superintendent of police and the Biaora sub-divisional officer and carried out by a team led by station chief Praveen Jat.[1]
