Jamuria police searched two separate areas of Jamuria and seizedganja in one
raid and brown sugar in the other.[1] Police arrested two men on allegations
of selling drugs across the two raids.[1] The back-to-back raids caused a stir
in the area.[1]
Acting on a tip that drugs were being sold there, Jamuria police searched a
grocery shop in the Jamuria Power House area in the first raid.[1] The search
recovered a total of 1 kg 300 g of ganja, and police arrested Birendra Gour in
connection with it.[1] In the second raid in another part of Jamuria, officers
recovered brown sugar and arrested one more person.[1]
Investigators are examining what links the detainees have to the drug trade and
are trying to trace the source of the seized drugs and where they were meant to
be supplied.[1] Police have not yet released the amount of brown sugar
recovered or the identity of the second detainee, and the investigation is
continuing.[1]
