Płock police detained a 37-year-old city resident.[1][2][3][4] The detention took place on 2 November 2026.[5][2][3][4] Officers of the municipal police headquarters’ life-and-health crime unit conducted operational work concerning a man suspected of possessing drugs.[1] Police established his whereabouts and carried out the detention.[1]

A data check showed the man was wanted by the justice system.[1] He was to serve a five-month prison term.[5][2][3][4] He was taken to prison after the new arrest.[5]

During the intervention officers found nearly 40 grams of marijuana, about 0.04 kg, on him.[1][2][3][4] He was charged the same day with possession of intoxicants, the Polish legal term for drugs, and admitted guilt.[5][2][3][4] Police said he now faces up to three more years in prison for the possession charge.[5][3]

Police said the detained 37-year-old had been convicted many times before for various offences.[1] Police spokeswoman Monika Jakubowska reported that he faces three more years in prison.[1]
