Detectives of the Malbork district police criminal department stopped a Skoda driven by a 43-year-old woman for a road check.[1] The check established that the woman had revoked driving rights.[1] The stop uncovered two violations of the law in the same car.[2] Officers detained the 36-year-old male passenger and brought him to the police unit.[1] The Malbork district prosecutor charged the 36-year-old with possessing significant quantities of intoxicating substances.[1] The prosecutor placed the man under police supervision and set property bail of 5,000 zloty.[1]

The passenger carried 102 grams of marijuana together with more than 105 grams of amphetamine.[1] Together the drugs in his possession exceeded 200 grams.[1] Officers sent the seized substances for further testing.[1]

The 43-year-old woman driving the car will also answer before a court.[2] She drove despite revoked rights to drive mechanical vehicles, an offence punishable by up to two years of imprisonment.[1] Possessing significant quantities of intoxicating substances is punishable by up to 10 years of imprisonment.[1] A court will decide the detained man’s further fate.[1]
