Guardia Civil Estatal officers detained three people suspected of drug distribution in the municipality of Matehuala, San Luis Potosí, as part of reinforced security and surveillance in the Altiplano region.[1] The three were identified only as Francisco “N”, aged 20, Ildelfonso “N”, aged 63, and Mariana “N”, aged 23.[1] State agents made the detentions and seized various doses of marijuana and the two motorcycles on which the three were travelling.[1] Intelligence information described the detainees as possibly linked to a narcotics-distribution network.[1]
The detainees and the seized items were placed at the disposal of the competent authorities for the corresponding investigations.[1] The operation was presented as the result of preventive and intelligence work by the Guardia Civil Estatal (GCE).[1] The published summary totals the seizure at 85 doses of marijuana, alongside the three detentions and two motorcycles.[1] The force framed the Matehuala action as part of its wider reinforcement of security and vigilance in the Altiplano region.[1]
