Officers of the LDEA’s Grand Gedeh County Detachment intercepted 44-year-old Kolubah Coleman, an officer assigned to the agency’s Maryland County Detachment, during an intelligence-led search of a maroon pickup truck with licence plate A53809.[1][2]

The search uncovered 26 boxes of tramadol valued at about LRD 520,000 (US$2,787) alongside 8.23 kilograms of suspected kush valued at LRD 31,274 (US$165).[1][2] Coleman was formally charged with illegal possession of narcotics and forwarded to the local court for prosecution.[1][2]

The agency reaffirmed that nobody is above the law regardless of rank.[2] The arrest raised questions about internal oversight within the country’s primary drug-enforcement body; Coleman maintains the presumption of innocence.[1][2]
