Officers of the Kozani Crime Detection and Clearance Division arrested a 33-year-old man in an area of Kozani in the early morning hours of 1 November 2026.[1][2][3] The arrest was made by officers of the division’s drug enforcement team during organised checks intended to combat drug trafficking and use.[1][2] Officers searched the man and found the drugs on him.[1]

The search led to the seizure of 35.3 grams of unprocessed cannabis, described in Greek as akatergasti kannavi.[4][2][3] Officers also seized 1.4 grams of cocaine in the same check, a non-cannabis substance whose weight is not counted in the cannabis figure.[1][2][3]

The Kozani Crime Detection and Clearance Division carried out the preliminary investigation and gathered the evidence for the case.[4] Officers drew up a case file against the arrested man on a drug-possession charge.[1] The case file was to be submitted to the Kozani misdemeanour prosecutor, the magistrate handling lower-level criminal cases, for the procedures provided by law.[1][2]
