Konya Provincial Gendarmerie Command carried out anti-drug operations across Konya from 1 to 31 October 2026 as part of its work to prevent criminal activity.[1] Officers caught 82 suspects during the month-long operations.[1] Officers released 75 people after taking their statements and remanded 7 suspects in custody, sending them to prison.[1] The gendarmerie said the investigation and similar operations were continuing.[1]

Searches seized 2,779 grams of kubar esrar and 850 grams of skunk, reported as part of various esrar types, which together form the 3.629 kilograms of cannabis recorded here.[1] Officers also seized 9 skunk roots, counted here as 9 cannabis plants.[1] The same October tally also listed 8,418 synthetic pills, 488 ecstasy tablets, 219 grams of bonzai, 180 grams of pregabalin, 67 grams of methamphetamine, 39 captagon tablets and 12 grams of cocaine, which are not counted as cannabis.[1] Officers also listed 302 grams of cannabis seeds and 4 grams of skunk seeds, which are excluded from the cannabis weight because they are not dried cannabis, resin or oil.[1]

The command described the seizures as the result of its October inspection and prevention work in the region.[1] The monthly results were reported together as a single coordinated outcome, with the cannabis types distinguished from the synthetic and other drugs in the same haul.[1]
