The Provincial Court of Huelva sentenced a woman to two years in prison for trying to take hashish, cocaine and heroin into Huelva Prison while visiting an inmate.[1][2][3][4][5][6] The court convicted her of a crime against public health in an agreed judgment and ordered her to pay a fine of 2,636.73 euros.[1][3][4][5] The court suspended enforcement of the prison term for two years because the sentence did not exceed that limit and she had no criminal record.[1][6]

The events date to 14 January 2025, when she arrived at the prison visitors’ entrance intending to meet one of the inmates.[1][2][4][5] During the search at the access control, National Police officers found she was hiding several condoms containing drugs around her genital area.[1] Officers seized 15 pellets of hashish with a total weight of 149.16 grams concealed in her clothing when she was intercepted.[1][2][3][4][5][6] Officers also seized 17.05 grams of cocaine, 5.26 grams of heroin and a further 4.79 grams of cocaine in the same search, which are excluded from the cannabis figures.[1]

All of the substances were hidden among her clothes and discovered during the visitor-access check.[1] The suspension is conditional on her not reoffending in the next two years, so she can avoid serving the jail term while she complies with the ruling.[1]
