Ten men were jailed for a combined total of more than 85 years for supplying cocaine and cannabis across West Yorkshire.[1][2] They were sentenced to immediate prison terms at Bradford Crown Court on 30 October 2026, while an 11th defendant received a suspended sentence.[1] Allah Yaar, 35, of Lindley, Huddersfield, received the longest term, 14 years and three months, for two counts of conspiracy to supply cocaine, conspiracy to supply cannabis and conspiracy to possess criminal property.[1] Zulfazah Khaliq Hussain, 42, of Bradford, was given 12 months in prison, suspended for 24 months, for transferring criminal property and failing to comply with a Section 49 RIPA notice.[1]

A long-running West Yorkshire Police investigation uncovered a gang operating from Halifax with connections to Middlesbrough and Blackpool.[1] The operation involved the wholesale supply of cocaine and cannabis, with two distribution hubs used to control stock, organise transactions and distribute drugs.[1] Mohammed Hussain, 33, of Lemington Avenue, Halifax, was identified as a central figure, running the hubs from a flat in the Holmefield area and a property on Saville Park Road.[1] His right-hand man, Zahid Shakoor, 34, was found at both properties.[1] Hussain was arrested in November 2024 after an exchange led officers to recover 4kg of cocaine, 20kg of cannabis and £26,970 in cash.[1] Further searches uncovered two stolen shotguns and industrial-scale drug paraphernalia.[1] Following Hussain’s arrest, the gang was disbanded and other members were arrested.[1]

Zahid Shakoor, 34, of Halifax, was jailed for 13 years, and Muhammed Hussain, 33, of Halifax, for 12 years for drugs offences, firearms offences and possessing criminal property.[3] Muhammed Ahmed Khan, 36, of Middlesbrough, got 10 years and Mohammed Nadeem, 44, of Middlesbrough, nine years and six months.[3] Naveed Iqbal, 36, of Halifax, was jailed for eight years and one month.[3] Mohammed Rana, 57, of Huddersfield, was sentenced to five years.[3] Joseph Ali, 27, of Blackpool, received five years and seven months, and Ajmeer Miah, 22, of Sheffield, four years.[3] Jordan Barker, 42, of Thornton-Cleveleys, received four years and three months.[3]

Detective Inspector Kevin Daly, of West Yorkshire Police’s Force Precision team, said the investigation was huge and the impact of class A drug supply and use devastating.[1] He said organised crime groups rely on firearms, violence and intimidation to control local drug markets.[1]

Miah’s four-year sentence was for conspiracy to supply cocaine and conspiracy to possess criminal property.[4]
