Egypt’s Interior Ministry said security forces in Giza Governorate arrested two men on 10 October 2026 over online drug promotion and hashish supply.[1][2]

The General Administration for Combating Information Technology Crimes, working with public security, detected a man running a social-media page to advertise drugs for money.[1] After legal procedures, officers arrested the page administrator, a resident within Second 6th of October Police Station limits, with a quantity of hashish and a mobile phone that investigators said held evidence of his activity.[1] Under questioning he confessed to running the page and led officers to his supplier, an unemployed man within First 6th of October Police Station limits, who was arrested with hashish and a phone; the second suspect admitted possessing the drugs for trafficking.[1][2] Legal steps were taken and the public prosecution took over the investigation.[1][2]
