Catalonia’s Mossos d’Esquadra found a camp in a wooded area of Figuerola del
Camp, in Alt Camp, in the early hours of Monday 2 November 2026.[1] The
discovery was made through the action of the citizen-security units.[1] No
arrests were reported, and the investigation remains open to identify and locate
the people linked to the site.[1]
Police said the site functioned as a storehouse and handling centre for storing
and preparing the drug for distribution on the illicit market.[1] Officers
described a fully equipped settlement with several structures covered by
awnings, a zone for processing buds, a dining area and eight tents.[1] The
first police estimate put the seized substance at more than 1,000 kilos of
marijuana buds ready for sale.[1]
During the operation officers seized 38 sacks full of suspected marijuana buds.[1] Officers found 57 more sacks which, because of the large volume seized,
remain under police guard until they can be removed.[1] The Mossos are
maintaining a surveillance and custody operation at the site to guarantee
security and preserve evidence.[1]
