Carabinieri arrested three young men in flagrante during personal and house searches in an extraordinary anti-drug operation in Val di Susa.[1] A 25-year-old resident of Giaveno was found with about 89 grams of hashish and packaging material.[1] The judicial authority placed him under house arrest.[1] In Bussoleno, two 19-year-olds were arrested jointly and ordered transferred to the Lorusso e Cutugno prison in Turin.[1] Three other men found with small amounts for personal use were referred to the Prefecture of Turin, the local government office.[1]

At Bussoleno, officers seized 346 grams of hashish, alongside 17 grams of cocaine, packaging material and 120 euros in cash described as proceeds of the activity.[1] The operation was run in the preceding hours by the Radiomobile Section and the Borgone Susa station to counter drug trafficking and dealing.[1] In total, officers checked 17 vehicles and 21 people and reported seizing more than 430 grams of drugs.[1]

The measures were issued during the preliminary-investigation phase, and all those under investigation retain the presumption of innocence until any final conviction.[1]
