San Luis Potosí’s Guardia Civil Estatal (GCE), the state civil guard, detained 32 people in operations carried out in the last few hours.[1] The detentions were part of the force’s permanent security and crime-prevention operations deployed across the four regions of the state.[1] The force described those detained as suspects in probable criminal acts that undermine public order and tranquillity.[1]

During the same operations, officers seized 160.6 grams of marijuana.[1] The same interventions also yielded 53 doses of the drug known locally as “cristal”.[1] Only the separately stated 160.6 grams of marijuana is counted as cannabis here, while the cristal doses are excluded from the cannabis total.[1]

The operations were reported from San Luis Potosí, with the force referring only to the state’s four regions and naming no municipality for the detentions or seizures.[1] The seizure totals reported for these operations were the 53 cristal doses and the 160.6 grams of marijuana.[1]
