Hong Kong Island emergency-unit officers on patrol spotted a suspicious private car outside 221 Gloucester Road in Wan Chai at about 2am on 2 November 2026 and stopped it for a search.[1][2][3] The car was parked at the Gloucester Road address when officers found it suspicious and approached to intercept it.[4] Officers arrested the car’s 34-year-old non-Chinese driver on suspicion of trafficking in dangerous drugs.[5][2][3] The driver, described by one outlet as a Pakistani national driving the private car, was detained for investigation and the case was passed to Wan Chai District criminal investigation team 7 for follow-up.[4]

Officers found about 3 grams of suspected methamphetamine, about 1.6 grams of suspected cocaine and about 1.6 grams of suspected cannabis buds inside the car.[5][2][3] The seizure was described as more than 10 packets of suspected drugs taken from the vehicle.[5] Police put the combined market value of all three seized substances together at about HK$3,200, a joint figure that is not attributed to the cannabis alone.[1]

Officers brought a drug-sniffer dog to the scene but found no additional prohibited items.[2][3]
