Toronto’s Organized Crime Enforcement drug squad executed 29 search warrants across four southern Ontario cities on 25 April 2019 in an investigation codenamed Project Dos.[1][2] Eight people were arrested and charged with 27 drug offences, including possession for the purpose of trafficking, possession of the proceeds of crime and conspiracy.[1][2] A superintendent told a 9 May news conference the network was a high-level trafficking ring capable of generating millions of dollars in profit.[1]

Officers seized 3,905 illegally grown cannabis plants, which CBC rounds to around 4,000.[1][2] They also confiscated 29 kilograms of cocaine, smaller amounts of ketamine, hundreds of kilograms of precursor chemicals such as ephedrine, and about 308,000 dollars in cash.[1][2] Police put the street value of all the drugs seized at up to 17 million dollars.[1][2] The raids took place in Toronto, Vaughan, Waterloo and Stoney Creek, with most of the arrests in Toronto.[1]
